I can't believe it's been that long! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband, who just so happens to be an awesome father too. I love him more than words can express!

Last night we enjoyed a romantic dinner at The Melting Pot in Nashville. We were seated in the "Loveshack" which is the most private seating of the restaurant. It was awesome! I would definitely recommend asking for it if you plan on going in the future.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RproBaDxRKI/AAAAAAAAAJM/j-FzDmy5Oi4/s400/DSCF2064.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5087633839941043362" />

This is when Guy opened his anniversary gift to find some new music AND concert tickets to John Mayer, Ben Folds, and James Morrison. I knew he was going to LOVE it and I just had to capture his reaction. He surprised me with an overnight stay at a local Bed & Breakfast next weekend. It will be a great time to reflect on our 12 years and how we can become even better helpmates, lovers, parents, etc... I can't wait!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RproA6DxRJI/AAAAAAAAAJE/fNThphBA3Qc/s400/DSCF2062.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5087633831351108754" />

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Ingram!

This weekend we married off the last Spur-man! haha! This will allow her to have better range of motion and hopefully be able to hold her head straight, instead of at a tilt. She was a champ through the whole thing and she is doing great. I will have my hands full this next couple weeks trying to keep her entertained without engaging in too much physical activity. Have some ideas? This has been a very busy, stressful, LONG summer and I can't wait until he's off the road for a bit.

We'll be celebrating our 12 year anniversary next month, which seems weird to me. Time flies when you're in love I guess. Three more years and we'll be renewing our vows in Hawaii! :-)

WINNER!!!!

Paul Potts wins all on Britain's Got Talent. Spur58 is leading worship all week. The scenery is beautiful. The weather is awesome. The people are great. This week is perfect. This is just what I needed. Guy has been traveling alot lately and will continue on after this camp for another 5 weeks. I will be honest and say it is hard on me when he is gone, physically and emotionally. So I have been looking forward to this week of rest and relaxation.

Grandma and Grandpa Roberts have Cadie for the week so we will be able to spend lots of quality time together. Last night we sat in a swing and just talked outside. It was wonderful. I promised my baby girl we would camp out last weekend and so we did. I busted out the ol' tent from the attic, set it up in the back yard and put the fire bowl and two tiki torches in front of it. It was indeed survivor Thompson's Station. We roasted marsh mallows and squished them between two keebler fudge stripes cookies (the easier version of smores). As you can see from the picture we also busted out the ol' guitar and the girls (Cadie and her cousin Rachel) sang around the campfire. It was fun stuff, until it was time for night night. I put Cadie's mattress in the tent and used an air mattress for uncle T.J. and I. Well, by the time the night was over uncle T.J. had gone home, (air mattress was messing with his neck and back) and I had brought Rachel in as her allergies were messing with her sinuses big time. Cadie slept through all this and I toughed out the night on the air mattress, waking to a sore back. It's a cheap air mattress.

Anyway, Cadie and I made it all the way thru the night in the great outdoors and it was a good time. We will try this again, just the two of us, unless Tracy wants to try as well, but next time we will have better sleeping conditions. I've been ungrateful and I didn't know it until I read this. WOW!

Perspective is a fascinating thing. It impacts everything. Perspective is not formed in a vacuum. It is the expression of our measure of gratitude. Grateful people are thankful for what they have and enter with minimal expectations of others. They see the glass half full since they expected nothing and are thankful for what is given to them. A person who is ungrateful wonders who took the other half of their drink. All of us struggle with selfishness but brokenness justifies it. Ungratefulness creates unreasonable expectations. Whatever is done is expected. It is never enough. An ungrateful person cannot be made grateful by meeting their demands. Until a person is willing to appreciate life, serve others, and even sacrifice of their own possessions they will never find the healing they so long for and need. The pathway to wholeness is the development of gratitude. Gratitude is the beginning of the ethos from which wholeness emerges.

Read it all here: http://www.erwinmcmanus.com/broken-pieces

Another reason NOT to eat fast food!

Not for the weak stomach!!

Ok, we know the health reasons as to why we shouldn't eat fast food but have you thought of this?

Today I grabbed a grilled chicken sandwich from McDonald's because I forgot to pack my lunch. Because of a recent lifestyle change in diet I only eat the meat, no bread, but today I was going to eat it ALL. I didn't order french fries or a drink, just the sandwich and I was hungry so I was going all in.

I get back to my desk at work and pull my sandwich box from the obviously kid targeted Shrek bag. Oh the sweet smell of fast food! I clear my area so that my focus is on this grilled chicken sandwich that I am about to devour. I pull back the top of the box and immediately notice the lady bug that is crawling on my sandwich bun. Ok, so I won't be eating the bun. My mind quickly remembers an incident from last summer at THIS SAME MCDONALDS. I had ordered a chocolate dipped ice cream cone through the drive thru and as I drove off I went to take a lick and noticed a hair sticking out of my ice cream. Just the thought of hair in my food makes me gag and this hair was embedded in the ice cream. Was it in the machine or chocolate coating? Either way...GROSS!!!

So, back to lunch. I decide to go ahead and eat the grilled chicken part since it was steaming hot (which in itself is unusual for McDonalds). Surely the ladybug hadn't touched it. I found a little bit of salad in the fridge to eat with it so that I would not starve to death. haha! As I begin eating I decide to google "why not eat fast food?" Check out the links below. Needless to say I did NOT finish the grilled chicken. A friend of mine, (we'll call him Steven Riggs, cuz that's his name) had made the offer to take me out fishing on his boat quite a few times in the past couple of years, and I had been wanting to go forever. So I asked him last week if he was going out this Tue. and his answer was a resounding "...ok...". So yesterday we hit Percy Priest lake at a little after 6 in the morning. I must say, I didn't have great expectations. 1. I'm not a very knowledgable fisherman and 2. I've never had any luck with anything other than catching a cold or brook trout at 7 years old on a Zebco 202 rod/reel combo (very professional).

Well after about 30 min. of no luck at the first spot we hit this little cove Steven had heard about on a web post. He started catching fish in about 10 min. My hopes started rising but I wasn't getting over confident. I started using what he was using and he gave me some great pointers. after about 10 more min. (and a good coffee pee in the woods, hehe) it was FISH ON!! I started pulling in large mouth bass! The one there in the pic was one of my first, only about 1 lb. or so. Notice how I hold it a tad closer to the camera as to make the fish appear larger :-)! We hit a few more coves and points that day and had about 3 or 4 hours of some good fishing! I caught about 12 or 13 fish that day including a black bass and a nice small mouth that put up a good fight. Steven caught large mouth, small mouth and a nice sized Crappie. Way to go Riggs!! Between us we caught about 25 fish or so, and I got some much needed sun. Being the night owl that most musicians are it was good to get some vitamin D from ol' Mr. Sun.

Anyway, I had a blast and now I'm adding a boat to my list of things I'd like to purchase. What a great way to spend some time with the fam! Out on the water taking in creation and hanging with my girls. Thanks for a great day Riggs! See ya next Tues!
<img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/37244986-4375650403799725547?l=therobertsthree.blogspot.com' save the school children at:
Moses Lake , Washington 2/2/96
Bethel , Alaska 2/19/97
Pearl , Mississippi 10/1/97
West Paducah , Kentucky 12/1/97
Sincerely,
Concerned Student

-----------------------------------------------------

Reply:

Dear Concerned Student:

I am not allowed in schools.

Sincerely,
God

----------------------------------------------------------

How did this get started?...

-----------------

Let's see,
I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained
she didn't want any prayer in our schools.

And we said, OK..

------------------

Then,
someone said you better not read the Bible in school,
the Bible that says
"thou shalt not kill,
thou shalt not steal,
and love your neighbors as yourself,"

And we said, OK...

-----------------

Dr. Benjamin Spock said
we shouldn't spank our children
when they misbehaved
because their little personalities
would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.

And we said,
an expert should know what he's talking about
so we won't spank them anymore..

------------------

Then someone said
teachers and principals better not
discipline our children when they misbehave.
And the school administrators said
no faculty member in this school
better touch a student when they misbehave
because we don't want any bad publicity,
and we surely don't want to be sued.

And we accepted their reasoning...

------------------

Then someone said,
let's let our daughters have abortions if they want,
and they won't even have to tell their parents.

And we said, that's a grand idea...

------------------

Then some wise school board member said,
since boys will be boys
and they're going to do it anyway,
let's give our sons all the condoms they want,
so they can have all the fun they desire,
and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.

And we said, that's another great idea...

------------------

Then some of our top elected officials said
it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.

And we said,
it doesn't matter what anybody,
including the President,
does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is good....

------------------

And someone else took that appreciation a step further
and published pictures of nude children
and then stepped further still by
making them available on the Internet.

And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....

------------------

And the entertainment industry said,
let's make TV shows and movies that promote
profanity, violence and illicit sex...
And let's record music that encourages
rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...

And we said,
it's just entertainment
and it has no adverse effect
and nobody takes it seriously anyway,
so go right ahead.

------------------

Now we're asking ourselves
why our children have no conscience,
why they don't know right from wrong,
and why it doesn't bother them to
kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.

------------------

Undoubtedly,
if we thought about it long and hard enough,
we could figure it out.
I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...

"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW,"

------------------

Pass it on
if you think it has merit!
If not then just discard it...
but if you discard this thought process,
then don't you dare sit back and complain about
what bad shape this country is in.

In God We Trust
Pet Swap

Princess the hamster wasn't as fun as we had thought she'd be. Cadie was not happy with the fact that she slept all day and couldn't play with and love on her like she wanted to. This past weekend we stopped by Petsmart to see about getting a ball for Princess to run around in. We visited the kitty's and fell in love with one named Sally. So, the hammie went back to be with her friends at Petsmart and Sally came home to live with us. We love her!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RiT8moOUWkI/AAAAAAAAAF0/V6YRGxKKAWc/s400/DSCF1383.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5054442422379240002" />

Meet Princess

Ok, it's not Sally, it's Princess. It would have been something much longer but I (daddy) talked her out of naming her Princess Sleeping Beauty the Hamster, whew! Ok, that's her FORMAL name, but we just call her Princess, a much more "pet" like name. She's a cute little rodent that hopefully will keep Cadie in her room at night. We'll keep ya posted. We are adding our first family pet, a hamster named Sally (the name may change depending on Cadie's mood when we pick her up, hehe).

It all started with a bribe. Since Cadie's tonsils have been removed she has been sleeping SO much better. It was time for her to stop coming into mommy and daddy's bed in the middle of the night. So we told her if she could stay in her bed all night for 7 days we would get her a "starter" pet. And if she did come into mommy and daddy's bed she would have to start all over from day one. SHE DID IT! WooHoo! So, today after school we will go and get Sally. We have told Cadie that she will have to stay in her room all night from now on to keep Sally company. I sure hope this plan continues to work! :-)

Easter Egg Hunt

Today we braved the cold to go to the annual Easter Egg Hunt at a local church. Over the phone I was told that they were just going to prick her finger. So, imagine the surprise for her and daddy when they arrived at the lab.

She did an awesome job! She didn't even cry, although she looked like she could. When it was done she said "Daddy, I saw my blood." She is soo cute and we are soo very proud of her.

We wanted to reward her for doing such a great job so we told her she could get a special surprise, like a toy or something. She didn't want a toy, she wanted a dress. And then proceeded to ask if she could have them. GROSS! We've tried every explanation of why she should not eat her boogers with no avail in getting her to stop. She also bites her nails terribly and has since birth it seems like. Now I can't really say much on the nail biting issue. I've been a nail biter all my life as well, BUT I want to stop. Now this was one of the newer VW's, not the cool old school one. For some reason it just seemed "wrong" to me. They just seem like such a feminine car. And the flowers.... need I say more?

Ok, I am one to occasionally make or take a phone call while driving. My mother hates this and I think she has even devised a plan for Cadie to tell on me when I do. Anyway, I'm beginning to get very annoyed with people talking on their cell phones while driving. Not like this is a new problem but people are NOT using their turn signals. And that really ticks me off. And for those that do but only long enough to flash the light once, well really, what's the point? Come on, we've got people shoving their face with food, talking on their cell phone AND trying to drive. How can we really be aware of what's going on around us if we're so darn distracted? AND, to top it all off...I have watched semi-truck drivers navigating a 90 degree turn while talking on the phone. How? They're having to swing wide to make the turn while not hitting oncoming traffic or running over the curb, all while shifting through several gears. I guess practice makes perfect!

Beautiful Landscape

Snow covered the land this morning. Not a bunch, just enough to make everything look beautiful. Snow covered the dead brown grass, the litter that has been thrown about, and even junk piles you often see in ditches or just on the other side of the fence. You know what I mean. Snow makes everything look clean, perfect, without fault, and just beautiful.

As I pondered this on my way to work I thought about how WE do this. We try to paint our own "perfect" picture of our lives for others to see. We paste a smile on our face and appear to be the perfect wife, mother, homemaker, employee, CHRISTIAN.

The truth is that we are all sinners. We have or have had trash in our lives that we cover or have covered in the past. Things that we do not want made known. Things we hide and hold on to, maybe out of fear of dealing with them, or shame or embarrassment. We care too much about what others think of us and not enough about what God did for us. God already knows our sins, we CHOOSE to hang on to them. And For what reason?

The verses below spoke to my heart today. I hope you too will be encouraged.

Psalms 32: 1-6
1 A psalm of David. Oh, what joy for those whose rebellion is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! 2 Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of sin, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! 3 When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and miserable, and I groaned all day long. 4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Interlude 5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD." And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Interlude 6 Therefore, let all the godly confess their rebellion to you while there is time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. (The New Living Translation)

Isaiah 1:16-20
16 Wash yourselves and be clean! Let me no longer see your evil deeds. Give up your wicked ways. 17 Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows. 18 "Come now, let us argue this out," says the LORD. "No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool. 19 If you will only obey me and let me help you, then you will have plenty to eat. 20 But if you keep turning away and refusing to listen, you will be destroyed by your enemies. I, the LORD, have spoken!" (The New Living Translation)

Laughter is the best medicine!

Amazing Example of Why You Need to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

The doctor said, "Bill, the good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition that causes your testicles to press on your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles."

Bill was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He had no choice but to go under the knife. When he left the hospital, he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself. As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life.

He saw a men's clothing store and thought, "That's what I need ... a new suit."

He entered the shop and told the salesman, "I'd like a new suit."

The elderly tailor eyed him briefly and said, "Let's see... size 44 long."

Bill laughed, "That's right, how did you know?"

"Been in the business 60 years!" the tailor said.

Bill tried on the suit. It fit perfectly.

As Bill admired himself in the mirror, the salesman asked, "How about a new shirt?"

Bill thought for a moment and then said, "Sure."

The salesman eyed Bill and said, "Let's see 34 sleeves and 16-1/2 neck."

Bill was surprised, "That's right, how did you know?"

"Been in the business 60 years."

Bill tried on the shirt and it fit perfectly.

Bill walked comfortably around the shop and the salesman asked, "How about some new underwear?"

Bill thought for a moment and said, "Sure."

The salesman said, "Let's see... size 36."

Bill laughed, "Ah ha! I got you; I've worn a size 34 since I was 18 years old."

The salesman shook his head, "You can't wear a size 34. A size 34 would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache."

New suit -- $400

New shirt -- $36

New underwear -- $6

Second Opinion -- PRICELESS

http://www.mercola.com/2007/feb/15/a-very-important-reason-to-get-a-second-opinion-before-any-health-procedure.htm

LOVE

Today is Valentine's Day. When said and done, millions of dollars will have been spent on perishable items in the hopes of PROVING our love to our significant others. Why do we say that? What makes everyone ELSE less significant? Why are we not showing love to EVERY one, EVERY day?

I've gathered a few LOVE NOTES, some things to think about. I hope you take the time to read them and I pray that they bless your heart today.

Love: affectionate concern for the well-being of others (www.dictionary.com)

The Most Important Command

34 -36 When the Pharisees heard how he had bested the Sadducees, they gathered their forces for an assault. One of their religion scholars spoke for them, posing a question they hoped would show him up: "Teacher, which command in God's Law is the most important?"

37 -40 Jesus said, "'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them." (The Message Bible)

I love how the Message Bible states it... "Love others AS WELL AS you love yourself."

1 Corinthians 13

1 IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such [a]as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

2 And if I have prophetic powers ([b]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).

3 Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or [c] in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing.

4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ([d]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].

9 For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).

10 But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).

11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.

12 For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as [e]in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand [f]fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been [g]fully and clearly known and understood [[h]by God].

13 And so faith, hope, love abide [faith--conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope--joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love--true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Footnotes:
# 1 Corinthians 13:1 Alexander Souter, Pocket Lexicon.
# 1 Corinthians 13:2 G. In my quest to find out what is causing my headaches and IBS I subject myself willingly to allergy testing. My thought being "surely this will provide some answers." Not so much. I did find that I am mildly allergic to mold, and moderately allergic to trees and grass. This would explain the massive phlegm build up I occassionally get. Eww. Anyway, on the food allergy side of things, the results were pretty inconclusive. In research AFTER THE FACT I find out that blood testing for food allergies is much more reliable. So I guess that would be the next step since I'm not too eager to completely drop egg yolk, wheat, oat, mushrooms, pineapple, black pepper, green olives and grapefruit from my diet. I mean, what would I eat? Egg yolk, wheat and oat is pretty much in everything. It's amazing when you start looking at food labels.

Snow...finally!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RcktF7PA9-I/AAAAAAAAAC0/82LAnZhrCC4/s320/DSCF1190.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5028600038759135202" />
We finally got enough snow last night to warrant a snow day. Every day I hear something in her teaching that opens my eyes in a new way! The podcast I am currently listening to is on "The Ten Commandments." She is talking with a guest named J. John who states this way to find out if we are putting God first in our lives.

Is God FIRST in my life?

In my ... Finances?
In my ... Interests?
In my ... Relationships?
In my ... Schedule?
In my ... Troubles?

If you answered yes to all, then most likely you have made God FIRST in your life. I think this is a great way to remember to keep God FIRST in everything!!

Later in the podcast Joyce shares that at one point in her ministry God laid this upon her heart...

You're so proud of yourself because you work for me, but the problem is you're not spending any time with me.

WOW!

Get the podcast at: http://www.joycemeyer.com/OurMinistries/Podcasts/podcastdownloads.htm

Former American Idol Contestant at Chili's

So, there we are eating lunch at Chili's in Brentwood. We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RZAAeT4ckDI/AAAAAAAAAAw/3nZj_mso1LI/s320/DSCF1042.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5012506905996464178" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RZAAez4ckEI/AAAAAAAAAA4/u0RFC5q5lSA/s320/DSCF1073.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5012506914586398786" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RZAAfj4ckFI/AAAAAAAAABA/27_5WuS-7Xs/s320/DSCF1075.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5012506927471300690" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RZAAgD4ckGI/AAAAAAAAABI/Po98gtBYyIU/s320/DSCF1078.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5012506936061235298" />

On Air in 3, 2,...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JfhcMo_P-C8/RYLgdvTdoPI/AAAAAAAAAAk/Ro5P4KuYYt4/s320/spur58_soundcheck.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5008812537108340978" />
Yesterday the guys recorded some songs and an interview for a show called Sound Check on the Daystar network. Although I didn't get the physical rest that I desired, I enjoyed the uninterrupted time to rest in the presence of God. The teaching sessions were awesome too. I had time to reflect on where I am in life, what changes need to be made, and so on.

If you've never taken a spiritual vacation, I urge you to get away. Don't make a bunch of plans, just enjoy some time away from the daily grind. Take some time to really focus on God and relax in His presence with no distractions.

One thing I loved about Deer Run Retreat, other than it's beautiful surroundings, was the lack of television. She was soo excited about spending this past weekend with daddy and the band (Spur58) in Dalton, GA. She kept asking "Can we go to the band yet?" Soo cute.

We had a great time with the guys! In my opinion, too much fun to actually call it work. It's one thing to work, most of us have to do that, but it is awesome to have an occupation that is also your hobby, something you really enjoy doing and would do anyway without pay. I will admit, I am jealous of Guy.
